Bluerauder - Just curious as to what ya'll thought of the mat. I only heard a couple comments at the MV10 car show. For those that saw it, what did you think?

It's a nice touch and didn't go unnoticed during the judging. *i.e. "display" was one of the criteria that went into the judging.

Also prompted me to consider the following as a mat and/or backdrop .....

I've used it in the past to showcase parts that I was selling ...

I liked it, takes a few minutes to set up, easy to carry. I do think customization of said mat would be sweet too!

Not too heavy at all; but quite bulkly (about 4 cu ft= 1' x 1' x 4' long) . Nice case for storing. For day trips that's not a problem. However, on the trip to (and from) MV10 it rode in the back seat until I unloaded the suitcases and other "stuff" from the trunk.

Not a problem at MV10. There was hardly a breeze in sight.

It would have to be blowing pretty hard to lift the mat. Possibly MV9 at Hershey/Harrisburg comes to mind was as windy as I've seen at a show; but I don't think it would be much of a problem. Too hard for the wind to get under it since it lays pretty flat. Only 1 and 1/2 squares to the sides of the car so even if it was lifted, I suspect that it would just fall back into place. Front and rear would be more problematic; but only if the wind was coming from one of those directions.

This was only the 2nd time out for the mat. First time was in Manassas, VA for a local cruise. No wind there either.

Problem winds would only happen before or during a storm and in late October, November and winter. Not too many cars shows available when the weather goes "Iffy".

BOTTOMLINE: I don't think it is an issue. Will have a better view when it makes a few more trips.
