What is difference between 3.55 tune and 4.10 tune?

When you change out gears from 3.55 to 4.10, and you a new tune for the 4.10s, is there any difference in the tunes besides correcting the speedo and odometer?

(I don't have to because I have both tunes, but) could you keep the 3.55 tune and manually change the tire revs/mile??

    Just curious.

Shift points are different between the two, the car won't perform the same.

How so? Are they based on RPM? I would think MPH won't matter after adjusting tire revs/mile. If I were driving a manual, my shift points would always be based on RPM - Where the torque peak is (and perhaps considering where the RPMs drop to with the next gear) regardless how fast I was going.

I guess what I'm saying is - I don't get it. Except for speedo compensation, I don't know why the shift point would/should change. Or what else is different in the tunes.

Not being a tuner, don't have the specifics for you. Perhaps Marty-o will weigh in on the question.
