Tires-Do you have more than 35K miles on clock?

If so, I presume you're on the second set of tires. I'm about to replace mine at the 12K mile mark since their toast due to alignment and the 32PSI in the rear. I just had the alignment done (scratched two rims in the process, that's another story).

How is your second (or third) set of tires wearing?? what are you doing different?

unless I see a good reason otherwise, I plan to go 245s all the way around just for economy of purchase and ease of rotation. Thoughts?

The only thing I did differently was go to the 235's all the way around. I couldn't see those bigger tires on the front. Otherwise, I have nothing else. It certainly aids in mileage being able to perform a complete rotation cycle.
BTW, I had just over 26K on the originals before replacement.

This subject has been around for a long time , mentioned in many different threads -but I don't think mileage is the issue---as you referenced--it is PSI ...and I've kept mine at 34 all corners and all are wearing normal at 11K.....so for what it's worth--I'd suggest raising your pressure and keep checking it weekly like I do---my .02 anyway.....

    Mileage...LOL

This spring will see my second set of Pirelli front tires, in 255/45, and my fourth set or rears, now in 285/45 on 9.5" rims.

    Maybe now I'll hook up...

    Tires

I guess I'm out of it. Too old to understand. Old age does terrible things to you. But, why would anyone want to significantly change the original look of the MM? The smaller tires up front and the bigger tires in the rear, ruin the great rake! I just don't understand. My solution (yes, my rears are almost gone after 17,000 miles - centers only, the rest is great) is to widen the rims and put on those great big 18" Z Eagles. You keep the rake and the original look and have good traction to boot. Sometime this spring I will be sending my rims off to be widen 1 1/2 inches. As an added bonus the car is going to look even better. Nothing looks better then those big fat rear tires. My opinion, no flames.
