Supporting Membership --- Get some Flags

Thanks Bluerauder for the reminder and the link to the contribute page, got a flag today for a contibution which was nothing in comparison to the value of help and advice members of this site have given me to get my car to where I wanted it and more.

Big +1, I more than cover the cost of annual donations to MM.net in what I get back from it. Advice saves me bucks, and the friendships are priceless.

Perhaps it is time for the elite to start their own "paid up" members only site?

Those of us with limited {average} incomes with a couple teenagers who want a to post-secondary education, who struggle to paid the bills monthly, who really should not drive a MM as a corolla fits the budget better, don't belong here?

There are other sites with tens of thousands of members who will offer automotive advice, without looking for flags?

My income isn't shat, while being divorced raising a 13 year old and paying all the bills to provide the best life I can for my little girl.

As a Co-owner of this site, myself and my partners do not receive a paycheck in keeping this site alive.

Not once, have you heard from myself, Mary, Bob or Dan tell anyone they must donate to remain here.

So with that said, you can leave, you can stay. Your choice.

no the issue isn't about elitist owners who can dictate what goes on here. merely the flags designate folks, after having attended a meet-up or having their problem solved here on the forum or another reason, decided to give back to the community.

I sincerely hope that stars or flags are not used for leverage on this site because there is support from folks who only lurk or only have 1 or 2 posts
