    rebuilding the rear end need help

    im rebulding my rear end since all the fluid is pouring out of the drivers axle my question is can u guys give me a link to purchase some quality bearings/ seals for the rear and also what axles im going 4.10 if matters ... btw i opened up the rear end fill plug and stuck my finger in there and it looks like the metal terminator dude so im expecting the worse and praying for the best

    If you are going to get new gears, just order them, including a master rebuild kit from Sparta. They can get you a carbon clutch posi kit too. As for the axles, NAPA sells a kit, axle, bearing, seal for about $150. If there is that much metal in your fluid DON'T leave anything to chance, it will bite you. Change ALL of the bearings.

    what is the carbon posi deal , any improvement? wasnt really planning on rebuilding the posi too as money is kinda tight with a baby on the way wanted to just do 4.10s. and whatever else is manditory the guy i bought it from claimed ford rebuilt the rear about 6 months before i purchased it not even a year down the road axle seals are leaking i guess he was full of it. :-(

    also anyone in south florda heard of 1 trick pony was planning on having them do the rear work

    Cobra Mustang clutches for the posi, they are carbon fiber. As for gear change, you will need a tune as well.

    At like $109 it will be a wise investment. You also need to inspect your spider gears while you have it apart. My fluid looked good considering what my spiders looked like. Picture no teeth.
