Advice, please...how to protect headlights from hazing

So, I finally opened the box my new headlamp assemblies came in. Wasn't planning to, but the kids were dying to see what was inside (even after I told them what it was)...needless to say, they were not as impressed as I was....

I've read several posts on here about using some type of film over the lenses to help prevent hazing/pitting...is there anything else I could/should do? I want to keep these looking like they just came out of the box for as long as I can.

Once I get them installed, I'll most likely be selling my old ones; on the fence about trying to restore them or sell them as-is...they are in pretty rough shape.

    TIA...

FWIW, I got them through Tousley Ford website; $309 incl shipping.

I figure on just buying new ones every 5 years or so. It's such a focal point of the car and you can never restore 'em to that new car look.

Advice, please...how to protect headlights from hazing

I have the xpel headlight protection kit but haven't yet got the chance to install em.. I actually like my aftermarket Depo brand headlights more then the oem tinted headlights. For some reason the Depo brand headlights have a nice crystal mirror diamond lookin shine than the oem and to me they look better. I've had em since the car got repainted a year and a half ago and they still look like new. I really like how they held up plus the cars in the garage most it's life so that's the main thing.

Just not a fan of the aftermarket corner lights which il admit the oem have more of a tint and look better. I also have a brand new set of fog lights too that I haven't got to install yet but will when spring comes and il slap on the fog light 5000k hids that's been sitting for a year and a half from DDM. Cant wait til spring rolls!!
