    More BCM updates. . .

    Started the dreaded BCM repair today.
    Came up with a clever way to pull things out of the way
    using zip ties.

    top and bottom screws. . .

    finally got the BCM out!

    More to come as I go to install the repaired one
    received from Fastblackmerc!

    They are quite the pain. I also removed the 2 heater hoses to get more room to work with. Lost about a cup or 2 of antifreeze, but it wasnt enough to make the car overheat or anything, just a tip.

    Not a good idea, esp. if you dont burp and top off cooling system. (like you didn't) No need to remove hoses, so don't.

    hoses

    I wasted a lot of time trying to work around the heater hoses. and finally removed them. The 2nd time I replaced the module, it went much quicker.

    The coolant loss is minimal, and adding/topping off through the crossover (after the restart) is easy. The access plug in the crossover was very tight, but it came out.
