I had the same idea that I posted here last year but unfortunately all the manufacturers I contacted wanted a solid 1000 wheels sold before doing any work.
The cost of tooling for a forged wheel is enormous. I would be surprised if this is possible for the size of a group buy the members here could assemble.

Another possibility is hot-rolled cast where the outer rim is rolled under pressure to impart some of the strength of the forging process.

I agree it would hard to give up our light, relatively strong wheels. It is one of the few distinguishing features of the Marauder.

I'm pretty sure the Factory Reproduction stuff that you see for SRT8's and GM vehicles (repopping factory 20's in 22's) is just cheap chinese cast garbage. That's how they can keep the price down.

IF we had an option similar to these ($300-$500/wheel) I would be interested. These will be a cheaper wheel, they will be heavier, not as strong and won't hold up well - but a 20 inch Marauder wheel would look awesome. IT would be a great alternative for people like me who like the stock style, but want a 20. And most of us garage our cars and pamper them so you could get several years out of them before they start showing their age.

Then we can get group buys on re-chroming!

BTW, here is a photochop of what 20's could look like. I took the time to keep the brakes the same size so you could see how much smaller they would look.

I also assumed people would still want a slightly larger rear profile tire to keep in the spirit of the original combination. I think it looks insane and would be outrageous with those 4 inch MEGS.

Someone photo shop that car with the 20" reps... I wanna see it just barely tucking the tire, cause that is my setup and I would love these 20's!
    I have 5 Marauders...

Now that would take me over the top. I'm a sucker for a lowered car already, but you go tucking tires and I'm taken. My old caprice was tucked on 20's with antraxx springs. My mustang had cut BBK lowering springs. My daily driver Honda civic is tucked too. See what I mean?
