    Lidio and Martyo Tune Differences?

Title pretty much asks it all.

I bought my car with the Lidio tune installed. I love the tune, no complaints. I've had to return it to stock a couple of times for inspections and it amazes me how the car wakes up. What amazes me even more is how the car SUCKS without the tune! You figure they'd tune them a bit better right off the production line.

Anyway, I've never had the Martyo tune, has anyone tried both? Would one feel a difference during regular, daily driving & hwy?

Well, i'll chime in here, i have a tune from a previous vendor here and i have a zack tune 2.0. At first, i didn't like the zack tune, but after about a month i figured id give it another shot...i noticed a difference between the two, and have to say, zack tune won hands down. My friend richardp needed a tune, so i gave him the zack tune and he loved it....pm me for details and ill dig up what i can find.

I have a Zack tune and I don't know if it needs to be changed a little or if I just need to deal with it because I honestly do not like it. I hate having to decelerate in order for my car to shift from 3rd to overdrive unless I am doing over 60 getting onto the highway. However, if I am not on the highway and speeding up to 45-47ish (around 2000-2100 rpm) then it won't shift to overdrive unless I let off the gas slightly (if I don't let off the gas slightly then it takes about 20 seconds of constant speed to shift). Maybe I am not describing it adequately but you definitely can tell if you are in the car driving or as a passenger.

You can contact Z and let him know what the tune is doing. He can adjust the shift schedule in the tune to make it lock/unlock od.

I know exactly what your saying, however i dont mind it at all, keeps it spunky on an on-ramp and incase i had to gun it, it wouldn't hurt the tranny. Like ms denmark said, its personal preferance.

I like the lido tune so far in my s/c trilogy car. I asked for a little spunky with no neck snapping and that's what I got.

As far as the other two, no personal experience.

Come to Louisville in April. Sample a little of everything, then make your choice

I have driven and have had most tunes out there. Mine is a modified Lidio tune but I'm just different. However the tune from Jeff at Mo's is great and I would rock it in a daily.

Better for who (or what)? As I understand it, our cars were actually "detuned" at the factory to meet CAFE standards. This sapped some of the HP and resulted in a shift schedule and premature OD lock-up to improve overall fuel mileage. The potential has always been there and opened the door for SME tuners to optimize for performance rather than Goverment mandated criteria.

I think F-L-M knew all along that real enthusiasts would dump the stock tune at the first opportunity so it was "detuned" to check the box for the Govt Nannies.

This crap probably goes unnoticed by the majority of Toyota, Nissan, etc. appliance buyers. Not so in this community.

Still noone has answered the OP's original question. "Does anyone know the differences between the Lidio and Mo's tunes?"

I'd be interested as well. We have a Lidio tune and like it but what if anything does Mo do differently with his basic canned tune?

Not interested in Zack, chips or custom tunes in this question.
