    rubber smell

I have had my Marauder for about a month, and I still get a rubber (like a radiator hose) smell that will come into the car after driving in traffic for a long time when the air or vent on. The dealer told me that it was "normal" for a new car to do that. Bull, I've never had that smell before. Has anyone else noticed this before? This is the first Ford car that I've ever owned. I have two Impala SS's and sold my '96 to get the Marauder. Boy, am I getting grief from my Chevy buddies. My Impala was much quicker off the line, but after hitting 3400 rpm, the Marauder really does pull nice. Has anyone run the 1/4 mile in one yet? What were your times?

    Thanks,

    Pete

The rubber smell is not normal, get them to fix it.

Gears fix the whole "off the line" thing...
