Big Brakes on a not-so-big Budget? YEP

I've found Advance wearevers to work extremely well on mine. I actually just installed them right on to my 4 year old unturned ebay slotted and drilled rotors last year and simply can't believe the nose dive stops. No comparison at all to the factory crap it came with.

I don't think price is a real driving force if your already in 5-600. I like to save where I can as I've sat back and watched others upset at paying the piper only to have the piper blowing his flute up their bungholes. Don't get me wrong, the first things I research out are the highest dollar amount and have no problem at all saving up for it and I normally prefer the best at any cost. But personnel preference and walking the offbeaten path (like purchasing a MM in the first place...) usually decide the purchase.

Don't these Advance rotors/pads carry a lifetime warranty?

The brake line parts I chose are hard to position properly and clear everything.

What about calipers from a Challenger or Charger SRT? I think they use 14" rotors as well.

Ever build a brake line?
It's a shot in the dark. I got them to work.

The jist of my message was this:
These are your brakes, with your passengers.
I am not advertising any of this other than I did it successfully, and the brackets to do so are for sale.

If anyone does this brake upgrade and comes up with a better brake line solution, please post your parts list.
Or drive to Todd at TCE and have him make a kit specific line

Zack, you may have misread my intention of the question.
I know you are a smart guy, just wondered why you chose the components you did, and what you would do different next time.

If I lived at Jegs, I would try everything.
It's simple to make a brake line when the wheel is pointing straight ahead.
When you turn the wheel, the line does wierd things.
There are many engineering factors that go into making an Oem or aftermarket brake line

I have tell you guys this stuff so I can sleep at night.
The last thing I want anyone to do is use the parts I recommended and install them improperly. Positioning is everything, and time needs to be spent making sure nothing touches a moving part in every aspect of wheel travel.

No. Baer machines a new hole in their kits to retain the stock line geometry.
That just isn't feasible here, unless you want to have it done by a machine shop.

Still driving around with my KVR front and rear brake mod setup with 26K on the odometer and appox 12K on the brake system. Realizing that I'm on borrowered time with this setup, do I have the option of re-building this setup and where do I obtain the caliper re-build kits, rotors, pads, etc?
Incidentally, I flush system once a year and pads have virtually no wear on them.

If one were careful to clean all the metal out of the caliper it could be drilled and tapped for proper port fitting at home.

Corvette caliper port fitting is 10x1mm ours is 3/8-24, simply drill and tap in the same location of the caliper that baer did.

Yes but you also have to machine a perfectly flat portion for the crush washer to seat. (You probably don't need to, but that's the correct way)
