    Smile Howdy all!

I've always wanted one of these cars since they came out but I wasn't in the position to buy one. Now my position has changed and I just picked up a 2003 Mercury Marauder with the 300A package (no moonroof or spoiler).

^Seller's photo. Been raining here so much I haven't been able to snap some new ones yet.

    List of things to do:

    fix driver's side window switch
replace bulb in oil pressure gauge
remove door panel to get keypad code (not in owners manual packet or on trunk hinge)
Order key fobs (funny because I got both factory keys including the valet one)
investigate pedal adjusters (just clunk when pressed)
investigate seat adjusters (rear seat bottom motor just clunks as well, rest work fine)
    tint the windows after inspection
    practice not speeding

I've had big fords for many years. Had a few Thunderbirds (SCs and LX V8) as well as a CNG Crown Vic. I missed having a big domestic car so I've put up my Mazdaspeed Protege up for sale and now I'm cruising in style.

Sounds like a sewing machine on startup. No noise from the timing chain guides.

Welcome and congrats on purchase..Instead of replacing bulb in oil pressure gauge, replace gauge with a real autometer gauge, the factroy one is a dummy gauge, it always reads the same pressure, never moves..it's basically like a glorified idiot light as they.

Your pedals dont move as the plastic gear that moves them is prolly broken ( very common for marauder, crown vic and marquis with adjustable pedals) we have amember who has a fix, a brass gear with instructions on how to change but he ony has like 2 left and prolly wont be anymore made. The grear is not available from ford, only the entire pedal assembly.

here is a link to the pedal gear, act fast if you want one.
check the last page to make sure still available. last i saw was 2

I got it for $8k. I did find examples cheaper but they were all over a thousand miles away. This one was only 2 hours away.
