My mech and I (mostly him) attempted to replace the blend door actuator using the instructions proved in the DIY thread. All went well except we interpreted the instructions incorrectly at step 17 and thought there was more dash
disassembly on the drivers side (there's not).
There is no mention of removing the duct (not shown in the accompanying photo for step 17). Prolly obvious to some but we stumbled on that.
The #3 screw was impossible to remove, loosened up OK but wouldn't come out of the threaded boss. Broke off the boss. Must have done something wrong cause the screw came right out of the boss when the broken piece was in my hand.
manually actuated the door OK. Now to reassemble the car. Car assembled, systems check good, ETAC ops checked good.
Cold air available now.,
