It was actually an idea Brian presented to me at Louisville a couple years ago.

He should chime in, I believe his idea was a wheel on the back side and an emblem on the front that would include the year or event number.

I think this should be a "universal" design.... not tied to any specific event.

I think you misunderstood my point. ...someone , I think Bluerauder, mentioned that maybe the coin could be similiar to the 2015 Carlisle t shirt design which includes "mercurymarauder.net". I was just suggesting that the coin not reference any particular forum.

Of course I agree, it's Jim's idea and if he wants to have mm.net on the coin, it's all good as far as I'm concerned.

I was think just "MERCURY MARAUDER" and "2003 - 2004" with maybe a picture of an MM on the front or the picture of an MM wheel doing a burnout. On the back maybe some stats of the MM... 11,052 made, 302HP, etc. Just a thought. I'd like to get more ideas.

I like that concept, Jim, especially with the wheel. It all sounds good. I'm trying to figure out if it would be possible for me to put it on a bracelet. (Would love to if possible. Prolly depends on what size the coin will be.) Anyway, thanks for looking into doing this.

    Challenge Coin

When I finished my cancer treatment, the proton therapy facility gave out Challenge Coins. It's pretty cool if you read the story of how they originated, going back to World War I. If I had more time I'd take a pic to show you. Basically the coin works like this...You're out tossing back a few and another member just happens to enter the same place...he sees you and taps his coin a few times on the bar or table...you see him now, take out your coin and tap back. Now the rule says if you tap your coin and he can't respond because he doesn't have his coin with him, he buys you a drink. If he does respond, you buy him a drink. If a bunch of us are together, it's chaos. It's fun....I might be able to do better on the pricing

Probably a pretty "gaudy" bracelet. Challenge Coins are typically about 1.5 inches in diameter. Some a bit larger; but not by much. 1/8 inch thick. I have a bunch from military organizations/commanders/GOs just jammed in a memorabilia box collecting cobs. Never got around to displaying them in one of the racks/cases that are available at the PX.

Seems you've never seen my Pandora Christmas bracelet....now that's "gaudy".

No matter what, I'm in for the coin. It's a great idea.
