I may have expressed this before, but a person driving extended miles for such an event, has my up most admiration and respect.

Marauderville 5 was in Virginia... Well Virginia, Maryland, DC. It was sponsored by the CAM group

But it was 8 years ago (2007) so yeah put a bid together for next year. I also encourage you to attend some local CAM events and get to know some of the folks there. Gordon (HAGGIS) is putting together the Autumn Brewery Tour (ABT) and it will be in Virginia this year.

You are both correct. The MV5 Host Hotel was in Hagerstown, MD along with the BBQ/Picnic, Car Show, Drag Racing, German Night Welcome Dinner, and the Farewell Breakfast. Virginia activities included the convoy along Skyline Drive, visit to Luray Caverns, the Maze, Potomac River Boat Cruise starting in Alexandria, VA. DC activities included part of the boat cruise that went up past Georgetown and the Memorial Bridge, the Washington Monuments convoy and photo shoot. The MV5 slogan was "Cruisin' the Capital" (August 2007). MV5 artwork is in my avatar.

Yes, driving around The Mall in DC was an experience, going past the back gate of the White House I thought the Secret Service was going to crap themselves.

Yeah, sort of like when 16 Marauders came up the back road to Camp David and got U-Turned at the gate during the Gettysburg Leaf Peepin' meet. I think all of the FRS radio chatter gave us away.
