    LOVE the stance. Aggressive.

That, with a slight tweek to the wheels (we're all a little different, but I love your Foose wheels anyway!) is exactly what I'm going for.

    Beautiful design on those wheels.

This with cosmetic/suspension tweaks is pretty much exactly what I'm hoping to do.

Gotta send Sgt Merc a quick PM it seems.

I'm actually likely to go badge-less/blacked out lights/lowered suspension as well so maybe you guys will hate my car Nothing new for me haha.

Found a low mileage (<30k) 2004 Marauder in Black locally here in West Palm beach. Bone stock.

Made an offer, but I low balled him (asking $14k, I offered $10k cash) because looking at it, I've decided that I'm willing to accept a 50-60k car if it has the mods I'm looking for already built in. This build can get pretty pricey pretty fast. Have to do some more research when I get the chance but seeing that Marauder with the Whipple 03 Cobra motor in it has me champing at the bit right now. I have all the parts/pieces I want on the car cosmetically, and that'll run me roughly $2900 give or take, before selling the stock stuff (wheels, basically) to cover some cost.

The end goal is to keep this project under $20k, because if I don't I might be thrown into rehab with a car obsession, or my money manager will yell at me and force me to sell one of the other toys. And I've really been wanting to get a new boat.

Anyone have an extra $100k laying around?!

Here's the proof - all the guys trying to clone a Vic or a Grand Marq start with these rims.

I've never seen aftermarket rims that I thought looked better on these cars - my
I agree. Personally, I will never consider putting different wheels on my car. Unless they are widened...!

I think another reason people put Marauder wheels on their Crown Vics/Grand Marquis is because it's relatively cheap compared to aftermarket wheels. Same reason you see tons and tons of similar model year GTs rocking the Cobra rims.

I like my wheels to look big. Some 5 spokes look smaller than they actually are, in my eyes, and I like the aggressive low big wheel'd sedan look. My previous sedan was a 2003 Jaguar XjR, and I actually noticed this when shopping for one 4 years ago. The difference is easy to see when Jaguar switched from the 5 spoke 18 inch

    http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...9QEwAA&dur=163

To the multi spoke 18 inch

    https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...01%3B400%3B200

To me the difference is night and day. The multi spoke looks bigger, more aggressive, and fills out the wheel well better. I guarantee there will be guys on this site that think "wow the 5 spoke look MUCH better!", but that's my logic behind replacing the Marauder wheels. Some people are happy with the stock engine, or with the car's stock ride height. I'm not. The biggest reason I'm so attracted to the Marauder versus other vehicles (such as the aforementioned XjR, CTS-V or even a E55/63) is the sheer ability to make the car unique.

I mean, I wouldn't dream of pulling the engine out of any of those cars, plus maintenance will be much easier. I almost built a 67 Continental that would have been VERY similar to Dax Shepard's ( http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...9QEwAA&dur=708 ) so you can kinda see where my mentality is.

Hell, I'd likely forego tailpipes and go with dumps right after the muffler because I feel the exhaust tips look a bit out of place, especially the aftermarket ones that extend out the back further

I was in an accident this winter. My left rear wheel got warped and was not repairable. They ordered me a brand new one from Ford, took over a week to get it and it cost over $1,500 bucks. For one rim! That's a lot of coin on these cars. They are billet aluminium. Cut from a solid piece of aluminium. That’s a big part of why they cost so much. It takes a long time to carve that hunk of billet and, I wouldn't touch them. That's what makes a Marauder! How many cars come from the factory with offset wheels? Now that’s just my opinion so, take it easy on me!! LOL.. I don't know whether to believe them or not but, they said I got the last one in Fords stock.

Well looks like I won't have any trouble ditching the factory wheels for $1000 then

Considering the wheels I've keyed in on run about $2900 with rubber.. yeesh

Any chance you've got a pic? All the Bullitts I see on Marauders are a solid color

    Edit: found one!

    http://www.gdmjoe.com/wheels/mmwith20blackbullitts.jpg

Seeing that picture reminds me I'll have to get the chrome trim around the doors blacked out using that Duplicolor process.
