MM traded in 8/9/13 @ 128909 miles. It was fun for almost 8 years. I met airmercpun on 1/17/14. He was the new owner of my former ride. -Now gone.
Update: back in the game with a late build 03 GMGS with some MM add ons like Escape audiophile radio w/Sirius sat radio, rear sway bar, catback exhaust, and header panel.

IMHO, this site- the members that I chat with- and the ones that I now Hang with- are like my 2nd family. There is such an ongoing welcome feeling here that even members who don't or no longer own the MM can feel.

I put a set of perilli scorpion zero's 255/55/18 on rear double Z block. with stock on the front for now. theres a 1.5 percent difference to the low side for mph,r"per mile. slight rear gear ratio diff. didn't get good reviews from truck owners. so far they grip much much better than G"S. wet traction on wet black top is nice. do get alittle spin but no fish tail from a standing position. 60mph quick lane change very responsive. wet braking nice also.
they grip dry very very nice

The "Brand" of tire I use are "Nittos" all around---the discussion was about size of tires on (rims) wheels......there are different 'brands' for just about any size out there.......but the Nittos I have are like Iron as well--over 20K on them and hardly showing any wear..........

One of the best friend a person could have
I have 235/50/18's up front and 255/55/18's KDW's in back. Trying to stay with the KDW's maybe go with Nitto's but what would be the best size up front? It would also be nice to keep the same size all the way around if possible? Would a 245/55/18 be good all the way around?
Your opinions please? Thank you
Do you have traction control on your car (i.e., is it a 2003 300B / 2004 model)? If it does, same-sized tires will likely engage traction control, though it can be disabled via the dash button or via tune. Otherwise, some owners have reported success with same-sized tires on all corners concerning ABS (see here). Several owners run 245 tires in the front, though an aspect ratio of 55 in this size on the front can lead to more understeer (you're adding about 1.3 inches to the overall loaded tire height). Besides more tire options, what are your goals (e.g., better straight-line traction, better handling, etc.)?
how much wider are the 255/55/18 and the 265/55/18 than the stock tires that came on my 2004 marauder ? and will they effect traction control ?
This is an old thread, but no worries
255/55 will be approx. 1/2 inch taller and 1/2 inch wider
265/50 (there is no 265/55 that i am aware of) is less than a 1/4 inch shorter and a little over 3/4 inch wider.
If you run factory front 235/50/18 then tractioncontrol ok, can also run 255/45/18 up front and be ok with traction control

I won a set of continental tires at last years hot rod power tour, and I'd like to go with as wide a tire as I can, on the rear stock wheels, and without effecting the traction control, ???
265/50/18 is the widest recommended on stock width rear wheels..some have gone to 285/50/18 and some have used 295/45/18.. Tires will really bulge at sidewall and bead and could possibly pop a bead in heavy cornering if too wide a tire is on a narrower rim. Some tire places won't mount them when the minimum rim width is not preent. You'll have to see what Continetnal offers in the tires to see what sizes they carry. The other option is to have your rear rims widened.
