No - "irregardless" is NOT a word. The word they are trying to us is "regardless". One of my all time top pet peeves...

What I find most disturbing is during an emergency when a person is clearly in need of help and people respond by whipping out their cell phones to video it!!!

I have actually had people argue with me that making a video is helping the person???

Turns out that a school bus full of kids from Philly was on its' way south to DC when a certain type of vehicle lost control,
clipped the school bus and caused the bus to go out of control and crash!
Luckily no one died....but there were lots of injuries.

Oh!....and of course the idiot who caused it all walked away unharmed!

Excerpt from the Baltimore Sun newspaper:

Parker said the crash, near mile marker 88.9, remains under investigation but there is "no sign" the bus driver is at fault.

The driver of a blue, two-door Honda Civic had tried to pass the bus, which was in the middle lane, by moving into the fast lane,

There, he lost control of the vehicle, driving off to the left then returning onto the highway, crossing all three lanes of traffic and clipping the front of the bus.

The driver of the Honda, whose name was not released, refused medical treatment, police said.

Parker said after completing the investigation, crash investigators will present their findings to the Harford County state's attorney's office to determine whether charges will be filed.

I hope that every family who had a kid on that bus sues the moron for millions....and the State comes after him with lots of fines and citations.
I imagine it had lots of decals of the drivers Instagram handle and plenty of negative camber
I got a couple lean mean street fighting machines

    Adding another.

What seems like 1 in 20 cars anymore driving at night with only daytime running lights and dash lights! The factory’s should NOT light up dash lights for DRL’s. Just plain stupid.

For one, why? It’s light out DUH.

Second, how is the typical non car guy/gal going to get a clue that their parking lights and taillights are in fact off when they can see where they are going and read all of their gauges? I really want to blame the idiots driving but I can see how this could happen.

I see that ALL the time and used to wonder why so many 'idiots' would drive at night with their lights Off....until I saw their dash/gauges fully lit!
Having a fully lit dash, with the headlights/running lights Off, is a bad idea by manufacturers.

Now, let's discuss the ridiculous number of A-holes who drive around at night with their High beams ON....ALL THE TIME!!!

My favorite is when you are driving thru a parking lot at night and a "parked" cars reverse lights lite up. No worries they come on auto to lite up where the driver is going to walk to?

The best is when people jack up their vehicle so their head lights are even with your eyes and don't adjust them. Blinded by the light...

Is anyone else sick & tired of the rash of recent knee jerk reaction commercials....?!
    Ya know....the 'Social Engineering' commercials?

    They're all the same:
    - Empowered Black Wife
    - Wimpy white husband with douchey beard
    - Ridiculous looking mix of kids with wildly varying shades and colors

" Oh! If only the world was like this! "

Nissan just cant seem to make a commercial with an all Black or all White or all Asian or all Indian family.
Well, Nissan has sucked for a long time....so I guess that's to be expected.

C'mon!!!....you are depicting .0001% of American families.

If you can't see over the steering wheel.....

YOU SHOULD NOT BE FRIGGIN' DRIVING ON THE ROAD!!!!
I have a confession to make. When I drive my '97 Express Conversion van I go the speed limit or a bit under because it's so damn slow that I forget to look at the speedometer. When I drive my Marauder I never have to check since I'm always going 10 over!

EDIT: My lord. I just realized that was posted 9 years ago. My bad lol

    Random Rants

I should have never got out of bed Monday morning and slept all week. So, AZ is chapter 1 (https://www.mercurymarauder.net/foru...67#post1590267)
Walmart tonight is chapter 2. Stopped after work to get some stuff at Walmart. A cute young gal was running the register and she was very pleasant. The bill totaled $73.90 and I went to hand her a $100 bill, she stated she did not have change for it. I said "you don't have $26.10 in the drawer?" Nope, just a 5 and a few 1s. Well, I wasn't going to stand for that crap so said it's all I had so someone needs to come up with some change. She calls the head cashier over, says she's out of 20s and HC looks at her and asks why she didn't ask for $$ when she was running low. Answer was a dumb stare. So HC says she'll go get some $ for her. All the people in the line behind me are rolling their eyes in disbelief of what was happening. We watch HC walk to service desk which is directly across from the register I'm at. She's gabbing away with the other 2 employees at the counter and after 5 minutes she sees we are all staring at her and she yells out that she called someone to come get the $$$ as she doesn't have access codes to it. The correct person must have been in the bowels of the earth, 14 minutes it took before he showed up and I had my change... The gal behind me asked HC if all register drawers had no $$ in them, I just answered that Sam Walton was going bankrupt. That got everyone laughing.

But, wait! There's more! Chapter 3: Almost home, driving across the wetlands flat and a deer runs in to me! It made huge noise as it banged down the left side of truck. May have just stunned it. Couldn't find it but it was pitch black. Will check the damage in morning.

Chapter 4. I pull in driveway and all the mail in my box belongs to the neighbor. This wouldn't be a big thing but it is an ongoing problem which I have discussed with postmaster. Don’t get me started on the PO!

Nuff said... If it weren’t for kids I would’ve moved to Florida or Texas decades ago! Or anywhere with decent work and NO WHITE STUFF for that matter.

The snow was hugely wind swept so no way to get an accurate measurement but I'd guesstimate 8to10". Just got in from clearing the mess... A much deserved mug of hot cocoa and Southern Comfort, and a sit down to recover... My friend Mike in Milwaukee/West Allis got 14.5" so not complaining about what we got!
