Getting MM ready for trip to TX Saturday, decided to replace Trilogy accessory belt given the blower belt snapped last summer (trashed my perfect OEM hood liner! ) and check all the pulley bearings.

All was good with the exception of the Trilogy small ribbed idler pulley bearing - just starting to make a little noise.

Could not locate the Dayco 89095 and no time to order but found out the Gates 36079 is nearly identical (about 1/8th" larger in diameter) according to Gates cross reference (https://ww2.gates.com/if/automotive/...ange/index.cfm).

Ordered and picked up today on way home from office and reassembled.

    All good now!!! She sings!

Decided to attempt polishing up my yellowing headlites with Mothers Aluminum wheel polish. Had a modicum of success. Not as clear as the YouTube video results, but at least now I can see the bulbs inside. I tried by hand and got the results I got. Going to try again with a polishing attachment thingy for the portable power drill and see if that will polish them the rest of the way. Sorry I didn't get pics, but it does seem to work. Will post up after I try the drill.

I've had great success with the Sylvania kit. You have to do everything by hand, no drill, but it's worth it.
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

Had a problem start up last month of driving last year. While cruising at speed the car would very slightly surge forward and back quickly, like a buck or slight engine miss. It felt like fuel starvation? The issue was so slight most would not notice but after 40 years of being a wrench I am so in tune with my vehicles it was a glaring issue in my eyes. I had been wanting to replace the COPs so used this as an excuse. So: new plugs, new COPs from Tommy at Sparta, installed fuel pressure gauge. Still did it, fuel pressure was very erratic so installed modded FPDM I had sitting around waiting to be installed. erratic pressure cured but drivability issue still present. I had a new FRPS in the glove box for emergency after witnessing a member have one go out at a Marauderville so installed it. BINGO! that was the issue. All fixed. :-)

used VP fuel system cleaner. VP racing has good products (knock on wood) I used the coolant and it lowered the marauder's operating temp by 6-10 degrees

Car had constant squeaking in the front end going ~20mph. Couldn’t figure it out for the life of me.

Went onto crownvic.net and lo and behold the solution to my problem was greasing up the striker wire of the hood. She’s silent now.

Still in awe that that was causing the insufferable squeaking.

Wasn't today, but the other day I finally managed to get the dead battery out when the holddown bolt snapped. Kinda half-assed holding in the spare battery for now.
