Blower motor issue

2003 with temp control (I can set a number-also has the "automatic" button)

Suddenly the blower motor will not turn off! A/C works fine-vent setting works fine etc., but when i turn off the system the blower keeps on running (seems to default to the floor vents) and seems to run at a lower speed. Of course it goes off when i turn the car off. Before i go chasing various things I have read about here i was wondering if someone had the exact same problem. I know that i will be referred to the blower control resistor-with that in mind is there a guide on here about how to bench test that module?

It's the BCM. Tap it with a screw driver handle to test it.
