    K&N Intake fell off again

I’ve always had a problem with it falling off. I believe the joiner is a little undersized on the intake side. Also the 4 inch clamp was also broken.
Went to Lowe’s they had a rubber joiner with 2 clamps riveted to an aluminum outer body. I separated the rubber portion out and it perfectly fit the oval intake on the car. Put the shell back on and connected the intake onto the other end of the joiner. Tightened it up. I also replaced the breather hose. I had a close out hose with a bend in it. Shortened it up to fit perfectly. It will not becoming off again.

I don't recall my K&N cold intake ever coming off. I switched to JLT long ago and that one did come off once. Similar to your story, some mechanic jury rigged something and it it never came off again. :-)

The K&N supplied rubber joiner is very thin. Probably a defective part.
The part from Lowe’s has a premade separation that each side fits In perfectly. Including the 2 clamps well worth the money ( only $3 more than purchasing a new clamp alone)
