ok here is the deal, i have made a nice friend who wants to use my car as a ginnypig for marauder parts. He wants to make it twin turbo and i talked him into doing it for free plus if there is any problems he would pay for repair lol. Well i asked about the hood and he said he could do it. Price is high in my mind but im not sure what you all are looking for. Fiberglass finished product will run around $1200(i can prolly get it down some). If your interested just say so, he does very good work.

At $1200 I would pass no matter how much I liked that hood. Yes I understand the limited supply run would yield to a higher cost but $1200 is a little rich for my taste. I would most likely go for the add on hood scoops if Zack could get them to look like they weren't "put" on. No what I mean Vern???

At the Spring Break Shootout in Orlando this past weekend they were selling the same hoods we have been looking at here in Fiber Glass, unpainted, about 6 different configurations, to fit Mustangs of course; in the 2 to 3 hundred dollar range unpainted. They have no intention to produce them to fit our cars at this time. Of course they sold a truck load of them to the Stang guys. A lot of the cars there had them finished and installed from previous purchases and no question they look great. Dennis

This is the photoshop I did of the Cervini Stalker kit on a Marauder back in October of 2005.
Do you have any samples of the guys work that your talking about?
Champion Fiberglass offers a lift-off version of this Mustangs hood for $190.00 shipping cost are extra. This would be the hood I would use to cut up and bond to a Marauder/Crown Vic, because the Cervini one would be very expensive to hack up.
The first of anything on these cars is going to be expensive. Even an aftermarket scoop mounted and painted on an existing hood, done top notch would be + or - $1500. If these things could be knocked out for $800 some vendor would have done it already. People here always want something but don't want to pay for it. Being the pioneer cost $$. Ask any supporting vendor, no one is getting rich on creating things for our cars. Hopefully Jerry will come through, but he would be sticking his neck out, I'm sure. Bottom line, if you like something and want something, GET IT.
My two cents...
I talked with one company about making a run of hoods back about 6 months ago.
The initial tool up fee was going to be around $10,000 and that didnt even pay for hoods... Each hood was going to be around $800-$900 each. So the $10,000 you are putting up for their research. But if they arent planning on doing it but someone wants to pay for it to be done, it costs....!!!!!!
Great advice from a lawyer, but I have this to add
If the price is too high, I ain't going to buy....
