    Smoke on start up

Hello everyone, I've been away for a while, due to health reasons but now I'm back and have a request to make. Could everyone that experienced the infamous blue smoke on start up ring in here and let me know how each of you dealt with this problem and how it got resolved. My dealership just seems to be indifferent and out of the loop on this so I need all the back up paperwork I can print on this subject. Thank you for your input in advance.

"TripleTransAm" has a good story behind his. Dealer replaced his but

it appered again. Ford changed valve suppliers for 2004. Thats why

2004 Marauders dont have the tick(blue smoke = tick on drivers head)

Mine has a small tick w/ rare blue smoke start up. My dealer gave me

an extended warranty but would not replace the heads/valves. Due

to lack of 'evidence' of bad valves. Gave me an extended warranty no

    charge though....

Went to the Dealer 5 times about this with no result. They keep saying that the "hot line" won't authorize them to look and check for the problem. Stating that it is "normal" for this engine. I know that this is total BS but I gave up on this.

When I try to get such an obvious problem fix, like others have, and get no help I want to do what one man did to a Ford Dealer with an Escape.

Check with Lowell on this one. I know his car once did this. The dealer fixed his problem.

Tom as I have posted previously, valve guide seals were replaced first. No fix. Both cylinder heads replaced fixed. No more blue smoke. Pm me for my phone number I will give you details.

I cleaned my PCV system and replaced the PCV valve on the passenger side. I also added a second PCV valve to the driver's side, problem solved...In my circumstance any way.

Unhappy Smokey!! My kids affectionately named the car

Mine does it about every other start up. A big blue cloud of smoke engulfs the whole back end of the car. I took it to the dealer while the local rep. was there and he said "Smoking from the engine is normal and not excessive, until it uses one quart for every 900 miles you drive". Mine uses roughly a 1/2 quart under "heavy foot" driving every 2500 miles. The mechanics later told me "You bought a Ford....that is to be expected and it is completely normal". My dealer offered no extended warranty or apologize for the situation or offer any help.

I have not had near the good experience at my dealer as I have seen some people on here have at theirs. Everyone acts like they don't know anything, except if you wanted to know how to cook up some possum, that they could handle. It is scary! I have actually considered driving to Atlanta, 200 miles away, to see the dealer there! It is that bad.

Considered? I would go one step further then that. I would take that as an

insult and take my buisness else where...
