    No more "On The Rack?"

I tried to send a PM to "ADMIN" about this, but apparently that's not do-able. Rather than PM the whole Gang of Nine, I thought I'd bring this out on an open forum.

I was told by Todd at the Atlanta Marauder Owner's Breakfast that he was told by the new owners of MM.NET he had to become a supporting vendor to continue to post up pictures of work being done at Grand Muffler. Todd made it pretty clear that he was not about to become a vendor because he doesn't sell any product by mail or over the internet, and has always refused to solicit business even in PM's out of respect for vendor rules.

To cut to the chase, Todd is "off the board" because of this, his choice I gather, because he sees MM.NET as a place to have fun, share and learn information about the Marauder and other cool cars, not have to behave like a vendor should behave when posting or replying to posts. Makes it different when you change hats and are on here as a money making enterprise.

Todd is one of the oldest members on here, and has been a huge source of information about mods for the Marauder. If he has left the board, then this community has suffered a huge loss, imo. He will be sorely missed.

I implore the new owners of this board to reconsider their demand on Todd, and allow him to continue on here as before.

Sounds rather odd...Donny, are you sure about this? He was dead serious? Not kidding...or maybe just exceptionally pi$$ed and raving?

Mods, can we get your side on this?

I agree with you as well. Much to the demise of the group. But that is what makes this group good for all.

The ONE and only thing Tod was unable to grasp was the fact that posting pictures with HIS BUSINESS BANNERS in the background, and tight close up shots of his BUSINESS PLAQUES on the pipes he installed within his threads was a BLATENT violation of the vendor rules.

This is not a new rule. It had always been in place. Why it was not enforced in the past is not information I was ever privy to.
None the less, it was a clear violation of vendor rules....past, present, and future.

I am sorry to see him go. He had a choice.

I had a big long explaination for you, hopefully you, Donny, saw it before I edited it.
Much like the offending pics I no longer find.

was he given the option of continuing the "on the rack" series as long as there were no business banners or other references to his business in the photos? i for one will miss those posts. there were quite a few nice rides.........

    I understand the rules thing.

    But a real bummer nonetheless.

Sad but I can see both sides. Lots of members travel to Marietta for exhaust work due to the posts seen on MM.net, even though many of the pics posted are for info/entertainment only.

    Unhappy Its a sad day.

I understand rules are rules and they are here for a purpose, so everyone is treated fairly.

But, I will miss Tod and his "On the Rack" threads. Know what else I miss, him and Marty with the jabs at one another.

I for one hope that Tod will come back and continue to post here.

    THAT SUCKS!!!

That is just childish and immature that someone, ANYONE, found fault in what Todd was doing.

If Todd doesn't get to post On The Rack, then I'll pull all the ProRauder pictures and thread posts too and find a new home to WHORE my pictures.
