Still not 100% I want to do this, but I am thinking about it too often. I don’t need the money and I have had the Marauder paid off with title in hand since 2005. I bought a new four banger in 2009 as a daily driver and I use a 2006 CVPI for work (all 3 paid off).
I just don’t usually keep cars this long, but the Marauder is special. Always planned to grow old with it (even though I’m still in my late 20’s).
Some info about my Marauder.
-Never been to the track. Not even once. Not because I’m against it in anyway, but because is she 100% stock drive train wise. Never even had a tune, so there was no point.
-Pure Florida car. The only time she ever crossed the FL boarder was when I decided to take her to my family’s summer home in Ocean City, Maryland. That’s when I got into the accident, so I learned my lesson and never took her there again. South FL car, no salt. EVER.
-As a result of said minor accident (only cosmetic) I took the car to Mills Marauder. He not only fixed the front end with 100% OE Ford Parts (I have all receipts proving so) but I also had him custom repaint the WHOLE car. I paid extra to use only OE parts, and paint each and every panel. I was planning to keep the car, so a full repaint was the only way to go.
She sits with 1 and 1/2 year old paint and not 7+ year old paint like other Marauders that are for sale.

As you can see in the pics, it was just minor damage.
-I also installed the under carriage lighting. When one unlocks the car doors, they light up. It looks really classy. Ask anyone who installed them or have has seen them on a Marauder.
-She is a heavy girl so I installed suspension parts on her. Metco Control arms and Addco front and rear sway bars. The OE control arms and sway bars will also go to the new owner with the sale.
-I also installed the TCE Stainless Steel brake lines at RoyalPita’s dealership.
-I also installed a FORD transmission pan with a built in drain plug. Might be over kill, but every oil change she received 4 fresh quarts of Mercon V (I bought many 12 packs from both Ray the Dealer, and Royal PITA.)
-Oil was ALWAYS changed every 3K miles when I used Motorcraft Syn. Blend 5w-20 and always changed at 5K miles when I switched to Royal Purple 5w-20. (Always used Motorcraft 820 oil filters with a HD Red Filter Mag).
-Also, every Spring, regardless of miles, she received new Engine Coolant, Fuel Filter, Air Filter, Brake Fluid, and I removed/ replaced Power Steering Fluid with a turkey baster.
-Brand new battery installed….comes with receipt so new owner get full warranty on it. OE battery was still doing well, but I thought it was time to get fresh juice in her.
-Brands new OE Motorcraft Spark Plugs installed…. Again, originals were fine, but I babied this car.
I always had daily drivers so she was always used just for fun or going out.
-The driver’s side fog light doesn’t light up. I know very little about chasing wires and I never wanted to mess with it myself didn’t want to take it to the dealership and receive a huge bill, when I believe that one who knows what they are doing can fix it easily.
-I have the pedal issue where the adjustable gas/ brake pedals don’t move all the way up or down. The plastic gearing from the factory is at fault. I never move mine anyway, so I never paid to fix it.
The new owner will be getting four (4) sets of Keys and Remotes. Again, I planned to keep her so I bought many of everything.
If she sells, great. If not, then she was meant to stay with me as a weekend driver as originally planned.
I am offering her for sale here first. After 7 days, I will begin to list her on Craig’s List and maybe eBay.
