What's the easiest way to adjust the linkage for the floor shifter

Do you have to take the center console out?

No, the trim with the cup holders comes out.

What are you trying to do?

At the transmission. I suggest saturating the nut for days if not weeks with pb blaster if you’re in a rust belt. Break the stud and you’re replacing the cable. Not a fun job

Yup! What Zack said. Don’t bust a nut to break a stud...

Follow the trans cable under the drivers side of the engine to the shifter at the trans. There’s a big nut right at the end of the cable. There’s a lot of adjustment once you loosen that a little. Be careful if you’re under the car and have it out of gear!

Best $20 I ever spent at a transmission shop. My shifter was loose and sloppy and I hated it. 10 min and $20 it felt like new!
