    Eatc cuts on by itself!

If a customer came in to my dealership and told me this was happenning I would have thought "No way". During my ride to work yesterday my climate control head turned itself on. I shut it off. It came on again. I turned it off. This occurred six times! None of the buttons appeared to be sticking. On the ride home, nothing. This morning was unusually cold but I waited a while to turn on the heat to see if the fault would reoccur. It didn't. I feel it is probably a solid state problem in the EATC control head. Guess I need to send one of my spares to Jim for new o-rings. Any of you guys ever experience this. I have been around these cars for years and not seen this particular issue.

Had a somewhat similar issue with mine, Russell. Replaced the BCM and the O-rings, still had control issues. Ended up replacing the entire EATC (sans the repaired solenids) finally got it resolved.

I'd check all the connections, especially the internal connector. Also try running the self diags a few times.

It did not reoccur today either. Don't think it's a connection problem as it only happened during one key cycle. Must be Gremlins!
