    ignition coils

    What part # manufacturer and source is recommended for Marauder ignition coils ?
    2004 marauder black purchased new. Sold 9/16 at 297,000 miles. Still ran strong didn't burn a drop of oil.
    2003 marauder black 28,000 miles all stock. Garage Queen.
    2004 marauder red daily driver.

    OEM, avoid the accel or granatelli garbage

    Tousley has them 30 bucks off retail cost

    I have to imagine they're re-branded OE coils considering they're from Ford Performance. That also comes out a lot cheaper than Tousley. Looks like a good option IMO.

    Absolutely avoid the Granitelli product. I had three out of the eight fail over a period of less than two years.

    When I called their customer service department after the first one failed, I was greeted with dead silence when I told her them that one of the coils had failed. They took the attitude that it was technically impossible for their product to fail. They replaced the first one under warranty but didn't acknowledge it that way. The box came labeled promotional material. The second and third one failed after their warranty was up. They did not agree to replace those two. There is a set of Accel coils in there now and they are doing just fine.

    I made the mistake of buying the accel garbage.... just burnt one less than 10k miles im pretty sure

    Owned My cars 4yrs, never touched a coil. B4 I got the car, they were all replaced by dealer (oem) at 78k miles. Now I'm at 167k.
