I have a need for speed and this one does it for me. This is not racing. It is all about improving your skills and learning about what that car can really do. If you don't want to run your car but want to watch, spectating is free and there is typically a car show with tropheys.
I help run this event in April at Sebring here in Florida. All Ford and Ford powered products welcome (that means Marauders, we even have a few Jags and a Crown Vic rental car show up). Driving school on Saturday, first class dinner with raffles and prizes on Saturday night, then more open track for beginners (instructor in car with you at all times) and track dogs (that would be the instructors) run seperately Sunday. Must be 18 years old or older, have valid drivers license and insurance.
Sebring is 3.5 mile road course. Stretch the legs of that beast till you get bored. Be as hard or as easy on the car as you want. This is not racing, it is driving at speed, your speed with experienced and licensed racing instructor at all times, no tickets or radar. You will get hours of track time. I normally burn through 20 gallons of premium on Sunday.
