What is ex. hybrid? Do not use this model or ?

I'll try and answer some of your questions.
The sound quality is noticeable better than the stock Marauder unit.
The white bracket as seen in the pic above has to be removed other than that it's plug and play!
Mercury Mariner and Ford Excursion have the exact same stereo.
But I think any unit will fit as long as it has all the same connections on the back. And it should be a mach 300 or audiophile unit.
I got mine from Discount-OEM-Radios on E-Bay ( And it says on the label it's from a 2005 Escape Hybrid)
try this website. http://www.pie.net/pie_store/shopexd.asp?id=214&bc=no
they have ipod and mp3 hook ups and more

I remember about 6-7 months ago Alonzo03 did this i like it. Looks very different Good job
2021 F150 XLT Super Crew short bed - no chrome! - 3.5 Ecoboost 400hp/500tq - 36 Gal tank (600 miles) - 4x4 FX4 Offroad + Max Tow - 3.55 Locker - 10 Speed - Pro Power 2kva - 24mpg @ 80 Ford is still the best.
03 300A - Number 1727 - Super Touring - 10k in the best upgrades - 13.8@99 N/A - SOLD - STAP was so much fun, loved meeting you all and racing.
Im not a big one on modding my car but this does seem like a nice idea.
2005 Dodge 1500 Hemi Quadcab
2020 Chevrolet Tahoe LS
From what I can understand the Mach 300 Escape stereo is suppose to be able to play Mp3's (it has the "CAT" button)
But I have tried a few different cd's with Mp3's (data burned) and it does not work, they just get ejected and the display says "CD-Rom".
Anny way I have bought an MP3 player adapter to hook up my MP3 player, It should work since the stereo has the SAT button.
I found the adapter on E-bay for $50 on Integration-Solutions
i believe you have to "close" the cd to play mp'3 on the disk. haven't made one for the car in awhile. also i tried the mach 300 and didn't like the sound i then bought the AUDIOPHILE unit which is what i have now. i really like it.
alright if you want the radio that i have (which i believe is the best one ford makes that will just plug into the marauder) you have to look for this part number
and here is the mach 300 and audiophile next to each other.
they are a little hard to find but i think its worth it. i think it sounds better then the stock unit. any other questions feel free to ask...

Interesting thanks for posting the pictures!
So what are the differences between the Mach 300 & Audiophile?, (I thought they where the same only that Ford renamed it to Audiophile on the later models.)
I see it doesn't have the DSP button, what are the different audio settings available on the Audiophile?
(I like the sound on the Mach 300 when I use the adjustable DSP ambiance setting and the "front seats" setting, it's definitely a big improvement over the stock unit)
honestly i'm not sure i've used the mach 300 in the marauder. i had it in my SHO and didn't like the sound. the audiophile sounded much better in the sho and better then the stock unit in the marauder. the audiophile i believe is more powerfull per channel but other then that i can't think of a difference. i'll have to look that up. nice install! glad it worked out for you.

Is this radio sat. ready? Or is there another unit?
Thanks
I WANT, I WANT! lol
I'll have to do this cause I'm tired of the CD changer goofing up and the single disc player hasn't worked in a while anyways.
Search up on ebay "05-07 Ford escape 6-disc" on a few come up listing for $160 with free shipping which is cheap compared to aftermarket radios.

Many thanks for this thread. Shortly after reading this my radio decided to start playing intermittently. I was able to buy an audiophile unit same as pictured here on ebay for $114 with shipping and even clutzy me was able to switch them out quickly and without cussing.
