Thanks for your honest opinion of the car. You saved potential sight unseen buyers from being very upset!

I bet the leaking water on the drivers side front bumper area is the coooant overflow bottle for the blower reservoir. I bet the car has leaked out enough coolant, they put water in it.

So glad I didn't show interest in it...

Paint might be addressed with a good buff? Oil and water could both be the oil filter adaptor gasket. The whistle is normal. The hesitation? Could simply be a dirty MAF?

    Thanks for reporting.

No problem. I guess my expectations were too high. I was willing to pay $12,000 but some of the excuses didn't make sense to me.

Going to need some wet sanding and then maybe a good buffing could help the paint. The oil leak was minimal but it was definitely leaking.

Maybe this is a good buy for someone willing to put some money in to it.

If you think the paint can be cut and buffed it might be a good car for someone.

Thanks for the insight! I posted all their responded emails on the other thread. the center trim piece between the EATC and radio was from an 04. The valve covers were silver not black as 03s came... Curious I would say, what aren't they disclosing about the car?? Like you said somethings didn't make sense.

Oh yea...Fuel pressure gauge didn't work, no spare tire, but it did have a trunk organizer. I should have tried to buy that off of them. I hear some people give good money for those things.

The air bag light was on also so that leaves me to believe the air bags were gone but did not confirm. Was jacked up pretty high to fit the rear tires.

540 hp? Not on a stock block, or with that blower. I’d want to see the Dyno sheet, and IF it actually makes that kind of power, it’s gonna need a lot of supporting mod, none of which are listed.

Doesn't say whether that is rear wheel HP or not. My engine was almost at 600 HP close to 500 at the rear wheels with a stock block.

My Vortech marauder also hesitated at times, This car appears to have a suck-through MAF and recirculates intake air instead of blowing it off. It’s a long way from the point the airflow is read until it enters the intake manifold since the MAF and air filter are behind the passenger side fog light. I also had a lot of problems with the MAF extension harness, lets just say it was a glorified trailer light wiring harness. Whoever buys it should put on a blow-off valve and move the MAF sensor. The other issue with that setup is intercooler is above it’s coolant reservoir and there is no good way to fill it or bleed air out of the system. I couldn’t get mine to work right until I moved the reservoir to above the abs unit. Basically my car operated as a non-intercooled S/C until I rengineered it.

As that looks like a Rienhart kit, I am super doubtful that motor has been on a engine dyno. He claimed 540 in his CL ad, and that, I am skeptical of.

I had my stock motor at 472 with a TS, upper RPM's felt like it was going to come apart, YMMV.

Current setup is 521/526 and it still breaks upgraded parts...

That is a blow thru set-up. The MAF is on the backside of the inlet elbow at the throttle body. A lot of Reinhart kits were blow thru
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference
