So sad to read no matter how it was made public. From one DTR to another, glad Joe is okay and the car did it's job.

Looks like Marauder was coming along nicely in the photo - good news for a change. Hoping the OP's subject is able to get his car properly repaired also.

Hi there peeps. I appreciate all the well wishes and concerns. I’m doing well overall. Even though I walked away from that collision. I still have a few ouchies that are healing. I already know what compensation my insurance will give me and I should find out Monday what the drunk drivers insurance will offer me. I may also get an independent appraisal on top of that. So hopefully I will finally be able to make some decisions on either parting it out and buying another DTR or fixing it. I am so grateful and humbled by everyone’s concerns and also those offering help, parts and such. It’s mind boggling in such a great way. It truly is.

Sucks driving around in a Nissan Maxima. It’s so darn low to the ground and the seats are too narrow.

Anyways. I did finally get the hood open yesterday. Makes me
Sad. But it could have been way worse.

Glad to hear you're on the mend, Joe...I'm sure you know this, but don't accept the first offer their insurance company throws at you...it will be low!

Very true. You obviously have some serious coin in your car that may be unrecoverable unless you bought extra coverage? Hoping its repairable. Let us know more about the DUI clown. He/she actually carried insurance....imagine that....

Good to know you'll be ok! Tell the Insurance Co., that you want a Mustang or Expedition to drive.
When I was rear-ended (not my M.M.) I was given a new Expedition to drive. It was quick.
    Good Luck!

Holy crap...I go on vacation and return to read this thread!

Joe, glad to hear that you are OK and healing.

Definitely get an independent appraisal and make sure that you get diminished value if they don't total your Marauder.
If you have one of the 'Marauder certificates' that were offered some time ago, it will help in establishing the car's rarity.
Also check out Haggerty's website as they value Marauders as a collectible and have a good bit better values than Kelly Bluebook (fancy Grand Marquis value)

Looks like a (drunk) lemming in a $h*tbox Honda did the dirty deed....no real surprise there.
