old lady backed into my MM in parking lot

Last Friday I went to Walmart to to do some grocery shopping after I washed the MM. I was looking for a space and all of a sudden a late model Toyota Carolla backs up and swipes the pass side bumper cover from the wheel to the corner. I was livid, I get off the car and I see an elderly Asian woman that was driving the Carolla. I asked the woman "you didn't see this big boat?? I stated if there was a baby walking behind your car you would've killed the baby. I noticed I was upset and said hey you can't make this up. I laughed about it, still pissed. Deputy came over exchange insurance and got a claim on her insurance company. I m waiting for the call back from Liberty Mutual. Here's some images of the damage.

Thanks guys, to Joe on your statement... yep can’t make it up. The woman has Liberty Mutual, I called Allstate (my agent) and let them know what happened. Ever time I pass by it can’t take my eyes off of it Spectragod, I played that scenario in my head.

Lucky it only hit the cover, could of been the fender also. Ive learned to have a football field away when I'm parking and to only shop on off hours. People just don't care anymore, they drive grocery getters and don't give 2 ***** what their car looks like, all they care about is turn key and go,

Nice cars are magnets for disaster....I never take my Marauder anywhere where I can't keep my eye on it...and even that's a problem....people just seem to gravitate to it....I mean a door ding on black would stick out like a turd in a punch bowl......I'm always respectful for other people's vehicles, but can't seem to get it in return...or is it jealousy....

I picked mine up from the body shop one day after it being there for 4 days for paint correction. Next day early evening, a woman texting and driving decides to run right into the back of Me. Bending the exhaust, cracking the freshly sprayed rear bumper. I was furious. Decided to not go thru insurance and She cut Me a $500 check. Got ran into the back again on an on ramp, didn't add much to the existing damage, but made them cough up $100 on the spot. Cash app. I have to get it fixed.

bummer, sorry to hear, no matter what it is always upsetting but I am also glad you caught yourself, there is a reason it is called an accident.

Heck, the other day I was in my 72 Cutlass going to a movie with my wife. I found the perfect isolated parallel parking space right in front of the theater. Its a beautiful old theater and I was thinking about the pictures I could take after the movie once it was dark.

I was doing such a great job paying attention to what my wife was saying I opened the door into oncoming traffic. I heard the scraping noise and then the sound of mettle bending. Only then did I realize it was my door caught on an SUV going by. For the life of me I don't know if the SUV was too close to my car or I opened the door into it, but in Illinois I'm at fault. It only scratched the back part 1/4 of his car but that was a back door, rear quarter and the bumper - 2 feet of scratches covered three panels. $2,500 in damages. I was pissed at myself more than anything.

As for my car, this is the car that needed doors anyway. The funniest part was that there was a pile of bondo and metal patches on the ground afterwards. I already have a replacement door. Life goes on
