Question how to remove center console

im trying to install leds for the oil and volt gauges. so far i got the compartment out then i removed two t10s and two bolts that where on the bottom. now im left with the console and a seperate part that surround the gear shift. i tried pulling up on the back of the console but it seems stuck and i dont want to break anything

The lower gauge pod can be removed *without* taking the console out.

Just grab it by both sides and pull toward the shifter. (Helps to have the shifter in 1st gear.)
