    Build in progress....

I got my hands on a svt cobra short block. I wanted to run more compression on this build so I’m swapping out the pistons. 9:5:1 was what I had in mind, also I’ll be swapping out the M112 to a 2.3 whipple gen2. What’s the max boost I could run on pump gas?

I’m running 13lbs on 12.5:1, I’d say if you could spin it up enough 18-20

521 rwhp, 526 tq, it was more, but the car got out of shape quick on the street, this was what I considered driveable, even though DR’s are a requirement.

I'd leave the pistons as-is. You will not feel any form of sluggishness with low compression and a Whipple....trust me.
18psi and 93 octane will get you about 535-545 RWHP

I’m definitely going higher than the stock compression.

My stock Cobra block has no difference in normal driving over a stock Marauder block. I make 601 at 19/20 #s on 93 and 704 at 26#s, both at only 5,700 RPMS. Completely different power delivery in our blowers but mine hits stupid hard down low and only builds the longer you hold it.

Your money is best spent simply swapping pulleys IMO. Just saying you won’t notice a difference and really won’t notice much on the dyno VS upping the boost and keeping it plenty safe.

I’m listening to everyone’s opinion before I make my final decision on either keeping the stock or increasing. All opinions are appreciated and will help me in the next few days
