    Wanted: Cigarette lighter socket/wiring connector

If anyone has a cigarette lighter socket & wiring harness connector for a Mercury Marauder please let me know. I want to add a second socket to the side of my gauge pod so I can plug in my radar detector and GPS at the same time.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

You are aware that there is a second receptacle in the center console right? Do you need three? Or do you prefer the placement by the gauge pod?

you can also buy an adapter at most parts stores that plugs in and has two or more plugs on it.

I know about the console socket

I just don't like to "squish" the cord underneath the arm rest. I also know about the adapters. I was just hoping someone who added a third gauge to their pod might have an extra socket that they don't want anymore. I was going to use a generic socket but it does not have the trim ring and would look out of place in my gauge pod. Ford in their wisdom also uses a unique connector that only the socket will fit instead of a spade plug for some reason.

I believe the "pigtail" plug is available at your local Ford or Lincoln Mercury dealer.

Call 1-800-FORD-788 and press "1". Have the last 6 of your VIN handy. You will get the numbers for FREE. You'll pay $$$ for the certificate.

MM traded in 8/9/13 @ 128909 miles. It was fun for almost 8 years. I met airmercpun on 1/17/14. He was the new owner of my former ride. -Now gone.

Update: back in the game with a late build 03 GMGS with some MM add ons like Escape audiophile radio w/Sirius sat radio, rear sway bar, catback exhaust, and header panel.

See my garage file for part numbers and whatnot.

IMHO, this site- the members that I chat with- and the ones that I now Hang with- are like my 2nd family. There is such an ongoing welcome feeling here that even members who don't or no longer own the MM can feel.
