I like the look of these, they fill up the front to back wheel-arch width much better than the stockers. (Is there a term for that distance??)

FWIW, I've got a 1989 Thunderbird that came with 15 inch wheels standard, unless you had the SC option with a huge 16X7 wheel. Back then 16's were standard "big" wheels until about 1993 and 1994 when a 17 X 7.5/8 was offered for Mustang GT's and the new 4th gen F-body. For about a decade, the 17 was considered standard upgrade with 18 being considered a "big" wheel. Oddly enough that takes us up to the period of the Marauder, with its 18 inch factory wheels which were considered cool back then.

These days, 20 is the standard "big" wheel. Which I believe is the point of this thread. And if anyone has any reservations about a car designed to not have such a large wheel, I would offer this picture of my 1989 T-bird which has 20 X 9 in front and 20 X 10.5 in back. It really doesn't look that outta place on a car that isn't even as generous as the Panther platform with wheel well size. I have zero doubt that the Marauder would look absolutely sick with 20 inch replicas.

    1989 Thunderbird SC - whackest

    20x10 all around

This is my LSE with 20x10 wheels, The car has lowered Marauder springs and KYB p71 shocks up front. Air suspension in the rear untouched.

I would lay $1000 per wheel for factory rep 20s. That would look awesome.

I like the 18s because I want a little more sidewall, but there isn't as much tire selection out there these days in a 18". A 19 or 20 inch would solve this without looking ridiculous.

There has got to be a way to get these made for that kind of $. Chip Foose and those guys all get custom wheels made. Check into it, the first set would be expensive, but the 2nd through 40th set wouldn't be.

This forum doesn't seem to accept BBCODE resize syntax unfortunately. Not going to turn it into a web design project.

Arconic is who manufactures Alcoa wheels. They are a huge supplier in the OEM world. I'd be shocked if they would do one offs but who knows.
