Stainless Works Vs Kooks Headers the pic

So I figured I’d just put this up for fun. I don’t remember ever seeing a side by side difference of the headers laid out next to each other so here it is!

Never liked how my KOOKS passenger side header flange was at a 45 degree angle instead of parallel to the chassis like the driver's side....

Looking at it now, it looks like the KOOKS were fabbed up by a drunk!

KOOKS were the 'only game in town' back in 2004.

LOL....where are the shorty headers in this discussion?

Either set of headers would be a big improvement over the OEM cast iron manifolds!
    Installing them is the hassle.

Awww crap! I still have the Cobra shorty POS headers somewhere too! I could have thrown those in the pic lol. Those cracked all over the place. Garbage isn't worth the steel they're made of.

You got that right, I had mine welded like three times before I installed SW headers on my blue car. The latest version of SW fit great, way better than the Kooks on my DD.

    WOW!
    Super deal there!
Either that shop was being very nice....or very stupid.

I remember wrestling with my KOOKs headers for the better part of a weekend!
I used every type of socket, universal, extension, and wrench in my roll-away.
Had to rest often to drink a cold beer* and wrap my bleeding hands & knuckles.

*Sole purpose of the cold beers was to soothe my raspy throat from all the cussing and screaming that I was doing at the headers....honest.

Haha, I think both! It was a friend of mines shop who Her brother runs. They mainly work on Ford Diesel Trucks but they said they've done it b4! The nuts came right studs and I had all the connecting leads to bolt up to factory exhaust. They broke the EGR but I deleted it afterwards. Still happy!
