    Help with picture resize

OK, I tried to download a picture resize tool, but can't get the quality of the picture to remain like it did when someone else did the resize for me for my siganture. I was wondering if someone could resize a picture for me again to use in a signature. Looks like the size of the other one is 300x157. And I tried this on the resize software, but the picture did not turn out right. Here is the picture I would like to have resized:

I am not sure if the quality just isn't as good as the other one since they are similiar, but I wanted an updated picture with the tinted windows in there.

Could you do this one, too:

    Thanks.
    Eric

I can do it when I get home. One thing to remember in resizing pictures - you need to keep the aspect ratio or the picture will stretch and look funny.

Thanks for doing this. Seems to have the results I did with the fuzzyness. I think it is the aspect ratio thing. Guess I will play with it some more when I get home unless MM03MOK ends up getting to it first.

See if this is ok.When you wanna try for quality left click and hold while moving the mouse make a dotted square around exactly want you want then right click and hit crop .this makes the pic bigger then do your resizing and it will look better..Hope this helps.

The original image doesn't appear to have much resolution either. If the original is grainy, the edited version won't be any better either.

If it's KB size you are trying to reduce for upload limitations, use WINDOWS XP Powertools 'IMAGE RESIZER'.

If it's merely dimensions you are trying to change, any number of programs will do this with out sacrificing image quality. (As long as the image was good to start.) Also, if you are changing file types, ie. jpg to tiff, or bmp, etc. you will have image quality issues.

Don't know which resize tool you downloaded, but I've been using IrfanView for over a decade ( with appropriate upgrades ); it's VERY high quality and has the ablity to slice, dice, and morph ( amoung other things ) AND it's freeware.

    Mark,

Those look great. Best I have seen of them yet. I know the original picture is not as good as the first picture was, so there was not as good of a base to work with. I will try that.

Just updated my Sig. and I like it. Thanks a lot.
