Welcome to the site. I hope you find what you want, but to keep it real ... $5k might get you a beat to hell black Marauder in Philly. I doubt you'll find anything nice for that price, epscially a DTR. I do know two DTRs potentially for sale in the Philly area, One has 3000 miles and is priced around 25k, the other would be less but I'm sure it still over 10k

You’d be surprised what $4-$5k can get you.

But, colors other than black tend to cost more, so it will be a tough search regardless.

I agree but if you have good credit that could be the down payment and your payments would be quite affordable. On a $10,000 creampuff you'd be putting half down on a near-perfect example. Might want to see what the options are because at only 980 made and only 3,214 total in 2004 it likely will not lose value. Unless you can find one with a bad motor, bad paint, or body damage you might not have too many options. I will tell you this, when I first looked for a silver/sunroof in 2004 it took 11 months to find it. Thirteen years later I have never regretted it!
'04 Silver Marauder w/ sunroof - HID lighting, JL Audio / Eclipse DVD/NAV/iPod/camera, 4.10's, 2" drop, Progard Bumper Baffle, Delete tips, Billet Pedals, BC4E dead pedal, Lidio Tune, Mach1 chin spoiler, K&N CAI, TCE lines, Super40's, tinted tails, SS Inserts, Heinous Control Arms, Real oil gauge, lighted door handles. Getting a loan for a 13-14 year old car worth $10k is not going to happen..They are not going to take the car value as collateral. If one had a home equity loan etc then that is different.

I just borrowed $8500 for an '04 Wrangler Sport. Maybe Credit Unions are more generous.

They're right, be patient and save your dough. The right one will come along It took me 10 months and a flight out to Chicago to find my '04 Silver Birch Moon roof, no regrets period.
Now I want another Moon Roof 'Rauder, with even lower miles, lol. Best. Car. EVER, and I owned a lot of cars, lol
JMO, but we should petition Ford to bring it back!

I keep saying add four inches of head room, 8 inches of width, a foot and a half of length, and two more doors to the highest level Mustang, and call it a Marauder. Go against the Mopar 300M, Challenger/Charger guys.

I might just be able to help you out! I was just getting ready to sell my 2004 DTR. Would be easier if you PM me, and then we can swap phone numbers - if you are still interested. I am in NJ, very close to you.
