    Traction Control and OD

    Am I losin' it?

I normally leave the traction control engaged, and use the OD above 50 mph, not in town driving, usually just on the highway. I recently noticed that if I disengage the Traction control and disengage the OD on start-up, my shift points increase 500 rpms, is this normal? It seems to me also the car has more pep and acceleration on take off from a stop, not WOT, just normal acceleration.

Is this real or just my imagination?

Turning off OD also disengages the torque converter lock-up.

TC Lockup still occurs on 2nd, 3rd and 4th on the Mercury shift pattern.
Disengaging OD only disengages TC Lockup on OD, as well as disabling the shift to OD.
