Lots of people realizing they are wrong now aren't they. And yep its a bad looking car.

You're absolutely right, the GN and GNX have a cult like following. There are not many cars that can say 25 years after production ended, companys are still developing new engine blocks / heads / etc for a one car application. To me the GNX is the Shelby Cobra of the modern era. There is no other car I personally hold higher...NONE. If you have not had the thrill of driving an actual GNX you don't know what your missing! Not to mention how rare they are.

All of that being said, I have come to really like my MM. The more time I spend with it and with all of you, the more I enjoy it. I just find it hard to believe that 15 years from now a private company will emerge (like T/A Performance) building new 4.6 blocks, cranks, and heads...its just not the same following...

Reading the Posts one item mentioned is Oh so true, when I bought my GN I was able to buy through our company and was able to get at the fleet price, normal dealers were adding $2,000-$4,000 on the sticker price just for a GN they had on the lot (note this was at the end, 1987 and GM told the public it was the last year) Gnx's they added more! So my car at the fleet price was close to $16,900 with ever option. The dealers were getting close to $18,000 to $20,000. for a loaded GN. at the same time you could get a Loaded Mustang for $12,000. SOOOOOOO what do think an 18-20 year old kid wanted or could afford! I don't believe any of us had an idea of the following, just one of those things. Also there has to be 5-8 strong forums still active. I read most and see changes made to them and hear the cash register ringing as they chop them up, it's a shame in a way but thats how things go. I've been lucky as I have never had to depend on my GN for daily transportation or the value and its been paid for for years. here again lucky.
