Their shipping from different warehouses is a racket too. I noticed sometimes it's cheaper to place 2 separate orders then to put everything on one order and ship from different warehouses.

I always play the shuffle game on RockAuto to get the best price. It's everchanging.
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference
I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

2003 300A Procharger #0017 D1SC (SOLD. Last I heard, it was in Washington State)
This just keeps getting funnier. I received replacement set of calipers today. Both are for a Sable. Now RockAuto wants me to ship them back for a refund but I have to pay for return shipping. I don't think so.
For anyone who thinks of getting a set of calipers online, my suggestion get them locally and inspect them to make sure they are the right ones.
This is giving me flashbacks. One of mine was wrong as well. Rock auto was not helpful at all. Jerry's customer service >>>>>> rock auto's "customer service".
"Come to me, Superman! I defy you! Come and kneel before Zod! Zod! "
Lesson learned. Cheap out and pay twice. Why get an uglier untested caliper to save a few bucks? I don't get it.

RockAuto agreed to ship these back and provide a refund.
I will still be trying XLR calipers from elsewhere though. I don't get how they are uglier though, especially if it's essentially a same caliper as a Vette. Also, last I checked the title of this thread is brakes on a budget so why wouldn't I want to cheap out and save as much as I can?

I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED ABOVE...IT MUST HAVE CUT AND PASTED THIS FROM ABOVE. I WROTE A ROCK AUTO RANT ABOUT ANOTHER ISSUE WHERE ROCKAUTO BONED ME ON A PAR THAT DID NOT FIT, AND MADE ME PAY POSTAGE TO RETURN THEM, EVEN THOUGH I BOUGHT A PART THAT DID FIT(different manufacturer) FROM THRM TOO. I ERASED MY RANT... CAUSE I AM A NICE GUY AND DIDN EANT TO DERAIL THREAD.
MY APOLOGIES THIS POSTED, IT WONT LET ME ERASE IT ALL...CARRY ON

Got a set of XLR calipers locally. They are same as C5 Vette. Part numbers match up. Fitment confirmed.
Just did this mod to my car. Replaced front and rear flex hose from Todd. Also did new rear rotors and pads. Phenomenal stopping and pedal feel compared to the stock brakes. One thing I noticed is the rotor ID needs to be opened up .030", not .003".

What year corvette do the calipers go to? Second, the prices on napas website don't correspond to the links and prices provided here. The rotors say their 44 a piece? Just want to make sure Im looking at the correct parts. Thanks
Furthermore-Could somebody point me in the right direction of what pads to choose, just looking for now, P/N please and thank you

Now seems to be the time to do this since I manage a local Advance Auto Parts. I'm gonna snipe all these parts and do the upgrade right after the new year. This thread is great!
