Found the Overdrive button in only 5 days of owning my Marauder!

I feel this is a very respectable number. First I had to realize that there was no Overdrive option as I was driving slowly up a canyon road behind a caravan of ******* Prius drivers. That started the search. I LOVE where they put it.

Tell me how long did it take you?

It took me a few days until I accidentally pressed the button. I usually rest my hand on the shifter and I felt the button with my thumb but didn't give it much thought. Just thought it was a screw or something to hold trim together lol...

My guess is that he uses the button to "downshift" and slow the car occasionally.

Yes, I think five days is within the norm. I don't recall how long it took me, but do recall asking others if they use the button to downshift off of freeway on ramps etc.

Found it before I left the dealers lot after I signed for her in '04. I read the owners manual.

I rewired the button to go to a new race transmission. It's an automatic, but, you manually shift gears (manual valve body), overdrive and torque converter lockup are pushbuttons on my console, the button on the shifter sets the transbrake You set that when you're lined up at the lights to race at the dragstrip. It activates reverse as well as first gear at the same time, holding the car still while you mash the throttle with the brake off. Just as the tree hits that green light, you hit the transbrake button and you launch forward like a rocket. As long as your race tires are warmed yup just right and everything else goes right
