    XCal2 / XTR Loading issues

    Lets see if anyone here may have a solution to this:

    Error loading XTR File
    <HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->I have an XCAL2 that came pre-loaded w/ a tune.

    I just purchased and installed a SuperCharger, and my Vendor gave me a XTR File to load. I have updated to Firmware 1.14.

    When I load Extreme Tune, I select the file, customize it, and then Click on Program.

    It fails with the following error - ERROR - Could not unlock XCalibrator for download.

    However, when I run Live Load 1.15, it says the State is unlocked.

    What do I need to do to load this file?

    Anyone have any ideas???

    I had this happen to me, Make sure you have the program open before you plug in the Xcal, and also make sure you are using the right port on your computer.
    That also drove me nuts!!

    If you've loaded a tune into the ECC, then you have to reload the OEM program. Once you've done this, you should be able to then load you new SC program. You've got to go back tp OEM prgram before any other changes can be done.....

    YUP! DR is right! Just haven't been online since the car has been running to post the findings!

    The version of Extreme Tune that came w/ my XCAL2 would not allow the file to be uploaded. I downloaded and installed v. 1.1.6 from www.sctflash.com. Problem solved!

    Steve, I got back from vacation yesterday evening. Are you saying your install is complete? By the way, I have your 6pack of Carolina Brewing Co. 11th Anniversary IPA. I'll bring it over if you give me a ride.

    Yup....the physical install is ALL DONE!!

    With DR's assistance, I am haveing a local SCT Tuner fine tune the Tune to make sure the car is running safe.....and hopefully strong! That's gonna be happening this Friday.

    Keeping the fingers crossed!
