add 1 to the 160mph+ with no issues. Only vibration I got was not practicing smart braking technique and getting wobble from the rotors. I will say though that I don't at all plan on doing it again, not particularly worth it.
BUT, from what I've heard that causes the driveshaft failure, there are two main things that come to mind: #1 EVERY driveshaft will have a critical speed, so ideally the smart thing to do would be to build a stronger tailshaft to insure that even if you can't have the most balanced driveshaft you'll have almost no risk of failure at that point. #2, if it's essentially a harmonic resonance point, theoretically once you go beyond that speed the resonance would drop and the vibration would subside much like an unbalanced tire. Am I crazy and there has been evidence to prove my theory wrong, or am I on to something?
Definitely get a good quality driveshaft if you will be hitting the autobahn. If my new ride hadn't come with a dynotech I would be calling PST in Clearwater Fl for a CF one. Quoted me $800-900 2 years ago for the CF and $500-600 for the 6061 4".
I would also recommended the tailshaft forced lubrication mod if you plan on staying at high speeds for a decent period of time just for that extra peace of mind.
