It is needed for the 340. It will also work for dual 340s.

I upgraded absolutely every wire in my fuel system, used a 40 amp BAP with the relay power, upgraded FPDM, ran dual GT supercar pumps for awhile but now I have dual 340s. Fuel lines are also seriously upgraded. Still running returnless.

How are your fuel lines upgraded? When do you think the factory feed needs it?

Each pump has its own PPRV and bulkhead fitting thru the hat. Then each has its own filter (OEM style) and feed into a Y. After the Y it uses a 1/2" hard line up to the heater area. The hard line I used is a vapor recovery line from a junkyard MM. I capped off the factory line and left it in place. In the engine compartment it adapts from the hard line to braided steel line feeding another Y which feeds the aftermarket fuel rails. I didn't want to use braided lines from tank all the way to the front since they are prone to be smelly.

Yea that's what I hear about the braided lines. Around what power range would you say it would be necessary to upgrade the fuel feed line?

What's the benefit of giving each pump it's own PPRV? I just installed dual AEMs, no BAP yet. I'm in need of another modified FPDM.

Not sure. I used the stock one at about 600 hp. I figured I would need more fuel when I upped the power so I just went anead and did it before I started the 680 hp setup. It has been adequate up to 750hp, might even support 800hp if I decide to change a pulley and up the boost.

I am only running one modified FPDM for both pumps. I was told it wouldn't work, but....

Two thoughts on the PPRV: every component introduces some amount of flow resistance. With the output of both pumps going through a single PPRV, it could be a bottleneck. Also, since my setup has each pump with its own bulkhead fitting through the hat, the best way to ensure the pumps have quick overpressure relief was to have one on each pump. Otherwise, one pump would have quick response but the other would have to flow out the tank, through the filter, to the Y, backflow through the filter for the other pump, then back to the tank through the bulkhead fitting to the PPRV. Not a good thing, especially the backflowing through the filter part.

I don't know about where to get them. I still have the OEM ones from the factory. I did modify my setup by using two hats to make one, so that's where I got the second PPRV. Any CV, GM, MM will have the same hat. Mustangs probably have the same PPRV too.

Unusual for a modified FPDM to die. Especially with a single pump.

And with your fuel problems it won't be long until somebody chimes in with "go with a return setup!"

I had the BAP set to half with the 340, not sure what went wrong, one morning after start up car turns off and check engine light pointed to the FPDM. Put the stock in and every thing went back to normal.
