NO MOD NEEDED android head unit

Gentlemen and ladies, after probably a year or better of searching the internet, I finally found a true Crown Vic/MGM/Marauder specific head unit that requires ZERO modification. I made two videos, one of the box contents, the other of the first power-up. I plan to make more videos after I get it properly wired and run the GPS, rear cam, etc. Feel free to ask any questions.

How did it fit in the dash? The opening is not a true double DIN opening.

How will you fit all the wires in behind the head unit? Will probably need to mod the shelf.

On mine I cut some of the plastic below the radio and allowed the wires to comfortably and loosely drop behind the HVAC controls. Double DIN looks great in these cars and drops right in fortunately. You'd be a hot mess if you install a flip up screen and expect it to clear the dash.

I don't get it, what's so specific to our cars?

This looks like any other double din radio. I have a modern pioneer with apple car play and android auto, with apps and reverse camera abilities with no real mods needed.

It's not quite the same as a standard double din, which is why most have to slightly modify the dash. No massaging needed (unless you're into that kind of thing). A little bit of maneuvering to get all the wiring in (I still havent). It has the security/removal clips on the side just like the original. The case is made to the same dimensions as factory.

Yup. Literally plug and play. I'll try and get a video of "installation" by saturday, but I will probably be running a whole bunch of extra wires (backup cam, gps, RCA, etc.) as well. I will note that it does not support the disc changer or factory subwoorfer plugs, just the main wiring.

Do the steering wheel controls function like stock? The factory sub doesn't work...that's a bummer.

Yes. Though I have been having an intermittent issue with them. Looking into resolving it now.
