How to make an '06+ Town Car more like a Marauder?

I'm pondering a hot rod Lincoln. The Coyote-powered Marauder has inspired me that the TC's 239hp 4.6 can become a world-class power plant instead. If I move forward (and I nearly bought a DBP '08 TC with 16,000 miles on it, sight unseen, Friday... it sold out from underneath me. This isn't a pipe dream) what Marauder parts should I incorporate into the build?

What could I get used... sway bars? center console? and what should I buy new?

I'm planning a 6-speed manual with a Roush '15+ 670 hp supercharged power plant. It will basically be the ultimate American performance sedan. Awesome acceleration, decent handling and braking, and a more sporty/contemporary interior.

I know it's probably going to be a $30,000 project.

    Thanks!

I have very much thought of something similar. My idea was more along the lines of a N/A or S/C 5.4 DOHC and then upgrade the undercarriage with Marauder or CVPI parts.

2003 CVPI former Connecticut State Police Supervisor vehicle. 160,000 miles
Upgrades: 3.55 Posi, 200amp alternator and new decoupler, lighting relay mod, KYBs in the rear, LTC leather rear seats, 70mm FoMoCo throttle body, and MZT mod with MPT custom tunes.
    DOHC swap to come! http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/u...3076313&page=1

I totally agree, and Zack's car as well.

I'm really impressed with the power potential of a Coyote though and the fun of a 6-speed manual.

That part won't be simple, but there are enough manual-swapped Panthers and the meticulous notes on the Coyote Marauder from Kansas that I think that can all be figured out. I'm looking more for Marauder (or aftermarket) goodies that will help capture the swagger of a Maruder and tuck it under the Town Car body.

I agree with the money number, and I love the idea. I have a 2005 LTC.

I started with the suspension. Chris at adtr.net is the guy I bought parts from, and now that everything is installed, the car handles and rides great. I was particularly pleased with the ride.

    Good luck with your project.

Thank you! I'm a little surprised the idea hasn't stirred more responses here!

I am stirred... I am poor, so my idea of using a N/A DOHC 5.4 is what is floating my boat on this project.

Ah well, sometimes it takes awhile for the posts to accumulate. For example, when I last posted, I screwed up the pictures. Let's try that again. It seems to help.
