Diecast 1/4th Scale Cobra 4.6 Liter DOHC Engine

Here is the URL for something on eBay that is interesting. It is supposed to be a 1/4" scale model of the motor from a Marauder. Does anyone know anything about this model?

I've seen this before, but so long ago, I can't recall exactly where. I think is was a Ford Racing promo item, and they were taking orders, so, the # of 1000 may be where they stopped? It sold for around the 295. mentioned in the ebay auction, sorry I can't help you more.

The intake is on the wrong side for a Marauder, isn't it?

I believe this is the same basic DOHC 32V V8 engine we have in our Marauders, except as you noticed, it is set up for a Mustang Cobra's engine bay.

Awesome. Nice of them to make the driver's side head see-through, giving you a nice behind-the-scenes look at your valve guides overheating on that side!

(does it make a ticking sound too?)

I like it too. I'd get one to add to my little Marauder "homage" at my mini-bar, but the price is a little steep....

/Steve, you are rotten to the core...

It must be an older 4V...it doesn't say "5W-20" on the oil filler cap...

If there's any money left over from MarauderMark's rebuild fund, you can always buy him one and punch a hole in the block as a souvenir!
